How to get help from Del Mar

Just call. We have offices in Santa Cruz, Monterey and San Benito Counties with highly trained and skilled staff to serve you and your family. Our contact numbers are listed below, or you can use our email response to send us a request for help or a question to answer. Remember, our client is the caregiver not the patient – we are here to support you as you care for your loved one.

What we offer

Our Caregiver Resource Center services include:

Respite Care - to allow the caregiver time away to rest and care for themselves

Family Consulting - to help families understand the disease process and develop a care plan

Legal and Family Consultation - for financial planning, long-term care, and durable power of attorney

Counseling - for emotional support to cope with the strain of caregiving

Support Groups - to share experiences with other caregivers and reduce the sense of isolation

Workshops - on behavior management, stress reduction and related issues

Link2Care - internet site offering information on every facet of caregiving for dementia

If you are caring for an adult with brain impairment, either as a health professional or family member, we would love to hear from you.

Our services are provided to all caregivers without regard to race, gender, age, religion or sexual orientation and are offered free or on a low-cost sliding scale.

Who is eligible

If you are caring for an adult with a chronic and disabling condition such as Alzheimer’s or a stroke, we can help.

If you already receive assistance from another program such as IHSS, we cannot cover such services as respite, but you can still take advantage of our support groups, educational programs and other caregiver services.
