Caresharing with Music: Transformative Techniques and Tools for the Memory Loss Community

"In our work with older adults we have witnessed the power of music to reach and engage persons with memory and cognitive losses. But many of us don't feel like we have the skills to include music in our repertoire of spiritual caresharing tools.

You are invited to this workshop, "Caresharing with Music" to be inspired by Judith-Kate Friedman and to learn from her the "whys and hows" of making music a regular part of your care ... We will be challenged and empowered to become 'musical instigators' who bring the 'medicine of music' to those who need it the most."

Support California's family caregivers with the California Caregiver Act of 2014

Millions of Californians are caring for an aging parent or
loved one, helping them to live independently. But family caregivers often lack the resources and support they need to safely care for their loved ones.

That’s why the state legislature passed the California Caregiver Act of 2014. This bill, AB 1744, will help our leaders understand the needs of caregivers here in California, so we can better support one of our greatest support systems.

Call Governor Brown and tell him to support California’s family caregivers.
Sign AB 1744 into law.
Call 1-888-458-6355.
